The Japanese Need More Sex 

At least that's the only conclusion I can draw from the fact that they're now marketing a 'Lap Pillow' for men:

One popular item for holiday shoppers is the "lap pillow," with skin-colored polyurethene calves folded under soft thighs - a comfy cushion for napping, reading or watching television.

The 9,429 yen ($90) pillow, which comes with one red and one black skirt, went on sale in late November and maker Trane Co Ltd says shipments have reached 3,000 in just a few weeks.

Care was taken with details such as the softness of the thighs, panty lines on the pillow's "backside" and wrinkles in the lap of the skirt so as to make the pillow look and feel as real as possible.

Pictures are included if you follow the link. I'm assuming that this is meant to compete with the Mobile Phone Virtual Girlfriend I blogged about earlier. Don't worry ladies... they designed a Boyfriend Pillow for you which I blogged about a few months ago.

What these companies ought to do is sell a service where guys who bought the 'lap pillow' can hook up with the women who bought the 'boyfriend pillow'. Just a thought. One more thought while I'm at it... ditch the panty lines. Who wants to see those?
