Running in the Wind

Running, or cycling, in the wind can be very demoralizing. But there is nothing you can do about the wind. It blows the way it blows whether you're going in that direction or not. All you can really do is duck your head down, push a little harder and run through it. The good thing is that the wind can never really stop you. Sure, it can slow you down, it can frustrate you, and it can make you want to quit. But in the end, the choice to stop is still yours. There is very little more rewarding when you train than still making good time despite the wind. Sure I was more sore when I was done, but in the end I beat the wind, the wind didn't beat me.
