My Imaginary Conversation with Hall of Fame Linebacker Derrick Thomas 

Derrick: Wow, it sure took the Chiefs long enough to find a replacement for me.

Me: Yeah... how about Jared Allen? Two fumble recoveries, three sacks, and some great tackles. He really got in the quarterback's face a lot too.

Derrick: Was still a nail biter though. I was worried that this would be a repeat of that Seahawks game.

Me: I know. The defense really turned it on, but where was the offense? They did alright... but not what they're capable of.

Derrick: Don't look at me. I played defense remember? Go talk to Hank if you want to talk offense.

Me: Well, the defense had some big plays, but they also allowed some really big plays by Washington too. Santana Moss had way too big of a game.

Derrick: As long as you get another one in the W column, that's all that counts.

Me: You know Derrick, you should've been wearing your seat belt.

Derrick: Watch it, I'm not above haunting people Nick.

Me: *Blank Stare*

Derrick: That's what I thought.
