Puppy Love 

Thanks to Boots & Sabers for the link to a new product making it's way into pet stores this year... the Dog Condom:

The problem of dog overpopulation is a real one. However, the noble goal of preventing unwanted dog pregnancy does not justify the means being used. Millions of brutal forced castrations and female genital mutilations take place every year in America. We need to put a stop to these atrocities and give every living creature the respect it deserves.

Just as forced sterilization isn't the answer for human population control, it's not the solution for dogs. Instead, we should respect dogs' rights as living beings by honoring their instincts and sexuality and provide them with safe, effective birth control.

Dog condoms come in three sizes to fit small, medium, and large breeds. Almost every dog will find a comfortable, well-proportioned condom to meet their needs. The condoms also come in lubricated and meat scented varieties to enhance pleasure for both dog partners.

According to their website, there is also a female dog condom in the works as well. After all, safe sex is the responsibility of both partners. I wouldn't want to risk the meat scented variety though. Who knows, she might confuse your dog's dick for a snausage. But seriously... would you put one on your dog? They don't have thumbs after all.

In other dog sex news (there's a phrase you don't hear too often)... a Belgian man is on trial for having sex with dogs:

Daily Gazet Van Antwerpen said the 36-year old in the eastern Belgian town of Genk told the court he had sex with dogs "out of love for animals," since a lot of them can't have sex, especially those locked up in refuges.

The man, only identified by his initials, could face six months in jail if convicted.

He had worked in an animal refuge before and had also posted thousands of pictures on the Internet of himself having sex with dogs, the paper said.

Out of love for animals? Wow - you have a high opinion of yourself don't you? Where do these people come from? Ugh.

Update: Maybe the makers of the dog condom should be put in touch with the folks who run this dog brothel. Sounds like a perfect combination.
