Bus Plunge!

Last week a coworker brought up an interesting fact (I have no idea how the topic originally came up, but the fact remains) that bus travel is actually incredibly dangerous (though not in the U.S.). About once a week, a bus plunges off a road somwhere killing a bunch of people. It's one of those terrible things that is commonly ignored in the media... except when news is running slow. Then the media will go tromping through the country side to report on a terrible bus accident in India, or South America, as if it's a rare and strange occurance. Bus Plunge! chronicles the stories of these incidents for us every week. They also offer a primer for people unfamiliar with the dangers of bus travel. I wouldn't worry too much about that city bus or Greyhound... this is really only a problem in third world countries where buses are in poor shape, and the roads are even worse.
