Shipping BlegI really don't do this often... but I'm going to give it a shot. Does anyone have any experience with either shipping a bicycle across country, or with using a case to take one on an airplane? How much do airlines charge for over sized luggage and added weight? Anyone have experience with a really good travel case that they can recommend? Drop a comment or send me an email. Thanks.
I'd say to send it as a piece of checked-on luggage. Didn't cost me anything extra to send my bike to France, but that was 15 years ago.
I've done golf clubs (no charge) and seen skis (no idea). However, here's part of what you're looking for.
