I'm Not Bitter

Honestly... I'm not, despite the fact that I'm not seeing anyone right now... and that other people are celebrating a beheaded bishop. Anyway, I've decided to give you a round up of some Valentine's Day news. If you're having a bad day today, just remember that things could be worse. You could be this guy:

A DRUNKEN rugby fan marked Wales win over England by hacking off his TESTICLES.

The 22-year-old Welsh supporter was so sure his team would lose he told pals: "If Wales win Ill cut my balls off."

It happened minutes after star man Gavin Henson fired Wales to their 11-9 victory on Saturday.

Of course I'm not the only one whose not thrilled on Valentine's Day... So is Osama Bin Laden:

A new videotape of Osama bin Laden broadcast on the Arab satellite news channel Al-Jazeera Monday beseeched Allah to grant all Americans a "crappy Valentine's Day."

"This Feb. 14th on the Western infidels' calendar, may all Americans receive no valentines from their beloved ones," bin Laden said. "May the homemade construction-paper mailboxes taped to the desks of the American schoolchildren remain empty, as well. May whomever you ask to 'bee yours' tell you to 'buzz off.'"

Someone else whose not having a happy Valentine's Day is John Kerry... whose wife Teresa has decided to drop Kerry from her last name:

A campaign convenience is no more.

According to The Washington Times, Teresa Heinz, the erstwhile Teresa Heinz Kerry, has stopped using the last name of her husband, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, last year's Democrat presidential nominee.

Preceding its Women Who Make a Difference Awards dinner next month, the National Council for Research on Women is featuring "a conversation with Teresa Heinz," according to a release from the organization. The council failed to mention the final half of the Fox Chapel ketchup heiress' formerly elongated last name in several other references.

Can't you feel the romance in Massachusetts? However, someone who is feeling the love is Vili Fualaau. If you don't remember, he is the former 6th grader who got Mary Kay Letourneau pregnant. Well, apparently they're getting married:

Letourneau, 43, and Fualaau, 22, plan to wed April 16, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported Monday. Letourneau served 7 1/2 years on a 1997 conviction for raping Fualaau.

"It's been long overdue," said Noel Soriano, a longtime friend of the family who confirmed Sunday that they will marry this spring. "It's going to be fabulous, seeing them get hitched finally."

Letourneau was a married mother of four when she began a sexual relationship with the then-12-year-old Fualaau after meeting at Burien's Shorewood Elementary School in 1996, when she was 34. She was pregnant with Fualaau's first child when she was arrested in 1997 and ordered to serve a six-month sentence for second-degree child rape.
