          That's Not The Reason It's StupidI actually think Bill Gates is a pretty smart guy, but these comments were pretty stupid: 
 Personally, I think the $100 laptop program is a bad idea because the last thing you want to do is give a computer to people who don't have potable water, the ability to prevent malaria, or sustainable farming techniques. Priorities people! If Google wants to invest money to help people in Africa, it should spend its money developing a cheap and easy to operate method for purifying water for villages. 
 
                         
                        What if the people could use the laptop to surf the web and find a do-it-yourself filtration system?
