Don't The Iraqis Matter Katie?I happened to catch the first 5 minutes or so of the Today Show this morning. Their opening story was this suicide bomb attack in Baghdad:
Apparently no NBC employees were killed, but 8 Iraqi civilians were. When the camera cut back to Katie Couric, she said (and I'm paraphrasing)... "We're just glad that everyone there is OK." Obviously she was referring to the NBC workers in the hotel, but it still seemed pretty damned heartless. She didn't make a single comment about the 8 Iraqis who were killed, almost as if they didn't matter, or weren't even there. Just fodder for the terrorists Katie?
