Required Reading 

The Agitator has a lot of good things to say at a panel discussion about obesity sponsored by the Congressional Hunger Fellowship. Yes... you read that right. The Congressional Hunger Fellowship was talking about obesity. How screwed up is that? Follow the link to read his opening comments (which are excellent) as well as his overall take on how things went, and where people's priorities are.

Having been significantly overweight myself, I feel very confident in saying that it is all about personal choice. I choose to no longer be fat... and I personally like it that way. But there was obviously a time when I made the other choice and enjoyed that for some time to. Both choices have pros and cons. But those pros and cons are for me to weigh (pun intended), not Uncle Sam.
