Searching 

I use Site Meter to track my blog traffic in case you weren't aware. It has some nice features like attempting to differentiate unique visits from individual page views by the same person. It has graphing features were are cool, it gives you entry and exit pages, and will even attempt to figure out what website referred them to you. Best of all, it's free. I like the referring feature best, for a couple of reasons. The first is that I can see when a popular blogger has linked to me (makes me feel important, and strokes my ego). The second is that I can see the search phrase if someone found me from a search engine.

Over the last several months, there have been some repeated searches that have landed people on my blog:

• Some variation on Dick Cheney and Kopp's Custard usually lands people on my post entitled Now We're Goons. The post has nothing to do with Dick Cheney, and only mentions Kopp's Custard in passing. It has been a search phrase many times, and I have to wonder what Dick Cheney did at Kopp's Custard that I didn't hear about. And if you've never had Kopp's Custard, you don't know what you're missing.
  
• The Retro Encabulator was a popular search phrase, as was "prefamulated amulite". If you didn't see the video, it's funny as hell.
  
• "Nick Schweitzer", or "Nicholas Schweitzer" has popped up a number of times in the last month. I'm starting to wonder if I'm being stalked. If I am, I just hope she's hot.
  
• "Slut Wife" or some variation of that has been a search phrase several times. I'm sure the searchers are quite disappointed when they see it references this post about my Brother-In-Law's blog called You Ignorant Slut. Of course his wife is my sister. Get your heads out of the toilet! She's my sister!

Sadly though, I'm not getting very many commenters any more, not that I had a lot to begin with. Now that the election has wound down, my traffic has tapered down some too, not that it was really that high to begin with. So if you want to make me feel better, just toss in a random comment or two will yah? Pretend like you actually read my drivel, will yah?

Update: Alright, curiosity got the better of me and I did a little searching on the Kopp's-Cheney thing. Well, as it turns out, "Dick" Cheney really, really likes custard. Click for a picture and details. Looks like Dick could have a second career in porn after his stint as Vice President is over... though his heart might not be able to take the strain.
