Always the Second Day

I haven't been doing much training of late. I've been trying to give my knees a rest, and my quads, and my hamstrings... oh yeah... my calves too. However, for some strange reason I felt compelled to go running on Saturday. It was the best day that we've had in a while... and by that I mean 50 degrees... which by the time I got out and started running turned into 45.

I'm really paying for it today. Those quads that I'd forgotten about? Yeah... they slapped me upside the face today to remind me of their presence. My knees? They're just generally pissed at me.

Note to self: Anytime you feel compelled to put layers on in order to go running, and its cold enough for the cushioning in you running shoes to harden, you should also reconsider the whole running thing in general.
