Yes, Why Did They Leave Again?

I try really hard not to talk about Cindy Sheehan... honestly I do. I think those of you regularly read my blog will agree. But now she's not just talking about Iraq, she's joining into the Katrina craze too. She has a new piece of writing (and that's the nicest thing I can say) on Michael Moore's site:

The people in LA who were displaced have nice, if modest homes that are perfectly fine. I wonder why the government made them leave at great expense and uproot families who have been living in their communities for generations.

Why did the government make them leave? Exactly which government agency uprooted them? Oh that's right, it was the FBK... the Federal Bureau of Katrina. The one that was created and funded personally by George Bush specifically to kill the poor in New Orleans so their land could be bulldozed to make room for oil derricks. My apologies for the oversight Cindy, you're absolutely right.

H/T to Protein Wisdom... who comments on this part (emphasis mine):

I don't care if a human being is black, brown, white, yellow or pink, or if she's Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or pagan. I don't care what flag a person salutes: if a human being is hungry, then it is up to another human being to feed him/her. George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power. The only way America will become more secure is if we have a new administration that cares about Americans even if they don't fall into the top two percent of the wealthiest.

You're right Cindy. The National Guard is illegally occupying New Orleans. Only a U.N. sanctioned peace keeping force can be in New Orleans, and that bastard George Bush never even went to the security council to try to justify his illegal war on Louisiana! Impeach him!

How did she become so popular again?

Comments:

Cindy Sheehan became popular because he son was killed by the criminal policies of the Cheney-Bush Oil Junta.

Ohhh... that's right. How silly of me to have forgotten.

You know, the pilot in my hot water heater's been off for a couple days, now. I think that that's Bush's fault, too.

Wello Ms Poppins, aka PI, maybe you should focus on reality. True Brown was incompetent; I'm glad he is gone, and there is plenty of blame to go around.

As slow as it was getting the National Guard into NOLA, it was still faster than their response to Hugo, faster than Andrew, faster than Iniki, faster than Francine and Jeanne." In fact quicker than any hurricane response I can find since FEMA's inception in 1975. Well within FEMA guidelines of 72-96 hours.

As for Cindy Sheehan, she has been downgraded from a "catagory 5 activist" to a "democratic depression."

Yes, I agree with mary poppins, that you should stop commenting on Cindy Sheehan. However, that is all I will agree with mary poppins on, cuz the rest of that comment is silly.

Anyway, as was described in a post by a friend of mine, Cindy Sheehan needs a big cup of STFU for one reason, and one reason only. Her opinion doesn't matter!! THE ONLY one that should be discussed is that of her son, WHO CHOSE to re-enlist. This thought comes from someone who was in the military, and spoke with some authority on how families deal with this.

And I couldn't agree with him more. Her son could have left the military, his service was up, but he chose to go back. He knew that there was a possibility for a war senairo, but HE CHOSE to go.

I'm going to stop talking about this now before my blood boils - hope you did well in your event this weekend!

be - don't forget, bush was able to summon the powers of Posiden(sp?) and cause the hurricane that hit NOLA too

Kuflax: Bush seems to be to the left (and many conspiracy theorists) that mystery product in Tom Waits's song "Step Right Up:" He wins the election and gives you an erection. (Changes your life, changes your view, changes you into a 12-year-old hindu boy.)
