Where Do We Get Our News Now?

If all you ever do is read the MSM coverage on the war in Iraq... you'd probably think that this is all that happened:

Iraq - 15 Marines were killed today while standing around doing absolutely nothing on some nameless desert road outside of Baghdad. A roadside bomb exploded, killing the soldiers who were apparently just sitting around with their thumbs up their collective butts, while insurgents laughed.

At least that's how they all seem to read to me. The reports are always about the numbers who died, without context of what they were doing. You would think that these brave men and women were simply being sent over to a meat grinder to be shot at. The reality couldn't be farther from the truth. For quite some time, Arthur Chrenkoff has been fighting that image, religiously collecting and posting good news from Iraq, about what our servicemen and women are really trying to accomplish. Building schools, providing water and electricity to villages, improving security, and countless other tasks.

Powerline and Michelle Malkin are both reporting that Arthur is hanging up his mouse because he has taken a new job that precludes him from blogging further. I can't seem to find a post on his blog confirming this, but if true it is a major loss to the blogosphere, and those of us desire that sort of information. And of course, I wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors.
