Fisking Being Fired

Blogger Buzz pointed to this NY Times letter from a mother who fired her nanny because of her blog. Well, the nanny responded... and did it very well... basically fisking the entire letter in such a classy way... you almost feel pitty for the mother for being so short sighted. Anyway... read the letter, then read the response and judge for yourself. What's too bad is that the Times letter never points to the woman's blog even though it is front and center in the topic of the letter, giving few readers the ability to go to her blog and judge the woman for themselves. I suppose it's not surprising that the Times would do this.

For more, check out Da Goddess who wrote a much longer letter to the mother explaining her error. It's well worth the read as well.

Comments:

I agree entirely with what da goddess posted. Very few people where I work even know that I have a blog, and it's largely because I don't want someone combing over my outside-of-work pursuits to find firing fodder.
